The Mitsubishi F-1 is a single-seat multi-role fighter jet designed and built jointly by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Fuji Heavy Industries for the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF). It was the first indigenous fighter aircraft built after the Second World War. A total of 77 F-1 was built between 1977 and 1987. The F-1 was decommissioned in 2006. Was replaced with F-2A, which is derived from F-16 Fighter Jet.
