The Su-34 (also called} Su-27IB) fighter bomber has been developed by the Sukhoi Bureau Joint Stock Company in Moscow Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association at Novosibirsk in Russia. The Russian Air Force has ordered an initial Su-34 aircraft, with for up to aircraft. production aircraft were delivered to the Russian Air Force in December 2006.
Full-rate production began in January 2008. Su-34 aircraft are expected to be in operational service in 2010. In January 2008 the Russian Air Force stated that aircraft would be procured by 2015.
